Celebrating Eight Years on the Throne: Happy Coronation Anniversary to HRM King Ateke Tom

It was a moment of joy as the Okochiri Kingdom celebrates a monumental occasion today! This is the 8th Coronation Anniversary of their esteemed traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, King Ateke Tom, the Amayanabo of Okochiri Kingdom who was Born on 2nd June 1964. King Ateke Tom holds the significant title of the first Amanyanabo of the Okochiri Kingdom. Before ascending the throne, he was a prominent figure, having led the Niger Delta Vigilante, an ethnic Ijaw militia operating in Nigeria's Niger Delta region.

Meanwhile, the King also shared a heartfelt message on his social media account (Facebook).

In his words; It is 8years today sitting on the sacred throne of peace, strength and unity in the ancient land of my forefathers, they who came before us from their distant migrations and made Oko-piri (Okochiri).their first place of settlement before moving to the Island.

I'm most grateful to God Almighty for choosing me as King and for sustaining me with his Grace, Wisdom and Infinite Mercy for these past eight (8) years of peace, love, unity and rapid infrastructural development.

To God alone be all the Glory.
