Regina Daniels Celebrates 25th Birthday From a Wheelchair

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she has spent months in severe pain and struggling to walk, a condition that has left her reliant on a wheelchair.
She made the disclosure in a video posted to her Instagram page on Saturday in celebration of her 25th birthday, using the moment to explain her absence from social media.
The mother of two said what began as a minor health issue gradually worsened, limiting her mobility and at times leaving her unable to walk.
“I know many of you may be surprised seeing me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life. Let me walk you through what my life has been since many of you have asked questions about my absence,” she said.
Describing how her condition deteriorated, Daniels said her symptoms became more serious after she hosted a children's day carnival.
“For several months now, I have lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this.
“But things took a major turn after the last public gathering I hosted, my children’s day carnival. One test after another, I jokingly started calling myself a lab rat. The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I can walk, and sometimes I can’t move. I cried,” she added.
The actress expressed gratitude for the progress she has made in her recovery, noting that recent positive developments encouraged her to speak publicly about her health.
“Well, me sitting here today, in front of this camera, sharing this with y’all, it’s because there’s been some really significant developments in my recovery. And I say, thank you, Lord,” she said.
Daniels also spoke about the emotional toll of her condition, particularly the difficulty of depending on others for everyday tasks.
Despite these challenges, she said her faith in God had sustained her, and she expressed hope for healing and peace.
She further revealed that she has moved closer to her loved ones, especially her children, whom she described as particularly dear to her. She added that she initially rented the property she moved into but later developed an interest in owning it.
Daniels married businessman and politician Ned Nwoko in 2019, and the couple share two children. Their relationship has since been marked by a public and contentious separation.
