Singer Sean Kingston and his mother charged in $1 million federal fraud case
Sean Kingston, the well-known singer of “Beautiful Girls,” and his mother, Janice Turner, are facing federal charges for allegedly defrauding businesses of over £1 million.

Sean Kingston, the well-known singer of “Beautiful Girls,” and his mother, Janice Turner, are facing federal charges for allegedly defrauding businesses of over £1 million.
Federal prosecutors announced that a Grand Jury in Miami indicted Kingston and Turner on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and five counts of wire fraud. The charges stem from allegations that the duo orchestrated a scheme to defraud businesses by acquiring jewellery, luxury vehicles, and other high-end goods without making proper payments.
According to the indictment, Kingston and his mother falsely claimed to have sent money transfers to pay for the goods. Despite the payments never going through, they retained possession of the items. Among the fraudulent acquisitions were a £160,000 Cadillac Escalade and £480,000 worth of jewellery.
The alleged fraud resulted in Kingston and Turner unjustly enriching themselves by more than £1 million. The duo was arrested in May following a raid on Kingston’s mansion in Florida and made their first appearance in federal court on Friday, 19th July.
If convicted, Kingston and Turner face severe penalties, with each of the six counts carrying a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Sean Kingston’s attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, told TMZ that they are prepared to litigate the case in federal court and are confident of a favourable outcome.

Nanny was awarded $2.78 Million After Boss Secretly Filmed Her With Hidden Camera

A live-in nanny has been awarded $2 million after her fast-food tycoon boss secretly recorded nude videos of her by hiding a camera inside a smoke detector.
Kelly Andrade, 25, sued 35-year-old Michael Esposito for filming her while she lived with him and his family in New York’s Staten Island.
The father-of-four was arrested after she claimed he tried to break down her door when he realised she had discovered the device and the memory card inside crammed with “hundreds” of clips.
A Manhattan jury has now awarded the au pair £600,000 in emotional distress damages against Esposito and his wife Danielle, plus £1.6 million in punitive damages against him.
Esposito, who owns three LaRosa Grill franchises, was taken into custody on suspicion of illegal surveillance, which carries a maximum sentence of four years.
However, he was allowed to walk free on the condition he completes two years of probation and counselling.
Ms Andrade’s solicitor previously described the punishment as a “slap on the wrist“.
Speaking to the New York Post, the nanny said: “It’s not enough for the whole situation I’ve been through these three years. It’s not enough.
“I was angry because the damage that he caused me is irreversible.”
In her lawsuit, the Colombian national described spending hundreds of hours training after being hired by Cultural Care Au Pair and sent to work in the UK.
She told the Post she was thrilled at the opportunity to learn English while working in Britain.
But she became suspicious after frequently seeing Esposito tinkering with the smoke detector in the bedroom they had given her, saying it “was constantly being repositioned“.
After several weeks in the job she took a closer look at the device and spotted the camera hidden inside.
She described having to escape through a window when Esposito arrived home and started banging on her door.
According to the lawsuit, police later found “hundreds of recordings” of her “nude and/or dressing/undressing” on it.
