Burna Boy Declares ‘African Giant’ Is Dead, Blames His People

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has declared to those finding it hard to accept his new persona that the “old” Burna Boy is “dead”.

In a post on the official Instagram page for his upcoming album, ‘No Sign Of Weakness,’ Burna Boy suggested that Nigerians were responsible for “killing” the old version of him.

He revealed that there’s a constant conflict between his new and old selves.

He wrote, “The ‘African Giant’ Burna Boy died. His own people killed him. Then ‘Big 7’ was born to protect what was left of ‘Burna Boy.’

“Burna Boy and Big 7 fight each other a lot because while Big 7 is only protecting the final and only existing piece of Burna Boy’s broken heart, the ‘African Giant’ still haunts Burna Boy.”
