Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen Snubbed in Italy’s Award Nominations

Lookman’s standout performance in the Europa League final, where he scored a hat-trick to secure the victory over Bayer Leverkusen, showcased his talent.

In the Europa League, the 26-year-old Nigerian international scored five goals and provided an assist in 11 matches. He was named man of the match in the final and received the match ball.

In Serie A, Lookman contributed 9 goals and 6 assists in 29 games, helping Atalanta maintain their position in 5th place.

Despite helping Atalanta reach the Copa Italia final, Lookman and Victor Osimhen were not nominated for Italy’s end-of-season awards.

Osimhen, despite fitness struggles, scored 15 goals and provided 3 assists in 24 games for Napoli. His efforts did not secure him a nomination this season, unlike the previous season when he was recognized.

The best striker of the season award nominees include AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Roma’s Paulo Dybala, and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic. The Serie A MVP winner will be revealed without a shortlist on May 24th.
