The veteran actor was reported to have passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday, following rumors on social media. Jacobs had been struggling with dementia for some time.
But Irabor tweeted;
“Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing.”
Jacobs’ family has released a video as evidence of the actor being alive.
In a statement last year, his wife, Joke Silva, mentioned that Jacobs’ illness had led to significant changes in him.
She said: “It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 per cent of the time is no longer there.”
