Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, of the now disbanded P-Square group, has shared his side of the story after his twin brother, Paul Okoye, also known as Rude Boy, accused him of reporting him to the EFCC.

In his response, Peter said he has never lodged a complaint with the EFCC against his twin brother. He then proceeded to explain what happened.

He said he, his twin brother Paul, and their older brother Jude own a management company called Northside Entertainment which they use to manage all P-Square affairs.

However, he came across a company with a similar name called Northside Music.

He investigated the company and was shocked to discover the founder and director of the company were his elder brother Jude Okoye and Jude’s wife Ifeoma Okoye. The address used to register the company was Ifeoma’s family home, he said.

Peter asked his brother Paul who denied knowing anything about the company.

Peter said he then involved his solicitors and instructed them to file a petition but told them to ensure his twin brother’s name was not mentioned in it.

“I hereby challenge Paul, or anyone else to show any petition that I, Peter Okoye ever submitted against my twin brother Paul or that has Paul’s name in it,” Peter wrote in his statement.

He, however, admitted that he lodged a petition against “the suspects, Jude Okoye and his wife Ifeoma Okoye.”

Peter added that he lodged the petition because he discovered that “millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira were being secretly diverted into this secret company’s account, Northside Music from our own Northside Entertainment.

Peter added that “Jude was then detained after being questioned. He came clean and admitted he had been diverting millions of dollars of our money to his secret company that he and his wife were the directors of.”

He said the investigation by EFCC found that Jude’s secret company had been collecting Northside Entertainment’s royalties for years.

He said Jude also mentioned Paul’s name while being questioned and this is why the EFCC invited his twin.

Taylor, who is also the Asoju Asa of Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, highlighted that the enduring conflict between the veterans impacted the growth of the Nollywood industry in various ways.

The filmmaker’s statement emphasized that the reunion of the pair, following a 30-year dispute, represents a crucial achievement in advancing and safeguarding the country’s culture and heritage.

“The three decade-long dispute revolved around royalties from the 1993 hit film Ti Oluwa Ni Ile. The Ooni also told me how great the film was and that’s why he chose me as agent for the reconciliation.

“Delegates from the palace, at the behest of the Ooni of Ife (Ojaja II), visited Tunde Kelani at his Abeokuta home in Ogun State to seal the settlement.

“This historic reunion is a testament to Ooni’s commitment to promoting Nigeria’s cultural heritage and the core aim of Aroba Groove in preserving the rich cultural history of the Yoruba lineage.

“The Aroba Groove successfully mediated the reconciliation which has given birth to the seamless production of ‘Asiyanbi’, the stage adaptation of Ti Oluwa Ni Ile,” Taylor revealed.

“Asiyanbi’ Ti Oluwa Ni Ile” is produced by Aroba Groove in collaboration with House of Oduduwa and with the endorsement of the Ooni to educate the new generation about the rich history of Yoruba culture.

He emphasized how their actions showcased the significance of cross-generational cooperation, guaranteeing a smooth exchange of knowledge and values from the older to the younger generation.

“By working together, we can avoid misunderstandings and misaligned efforts, ultimately driving development in the entertainment industry. The veterans have put aside their differences,” Taylor added.

Speaking during the reconciliation, Baba Wande described Kelani as a bosom friend, saying;

“We will continue to work together for the growth of our beloved industry and Yorubaland.”

In his remarks, Kelani noted;

“This peace initiative is a reminder that the film is appreciated, and we are being watched. I thank the Ooni for his intervention and assure my full support to Asiyanbi, Ti Oluwa Ni Ile stage adaptation.”

Mr. Ibitayo Akindeji, the Producer and Project Coordinator of Asiyanbi, mentioned that Aroba Groove was revitalizing the timeless tale with a cutting-edge stage production, offering a captivating and innovative theatrical journey.

He revealed that the stage play is scheduled to enthrall audiences in major cities in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States later this year.

“While the timeless story of Ti Oluwa Ni Ile remains unchanged, its presentation this time around is nothing short of breathtaking. The production is being presented at a moment Nigeria is navigating its current challenges.

“With unwavering belief, the team affirms that Nigeria is God’s beloved nation, and this land is indeed God’s own – Ti Oluwa Ni Ile .

“Following a teaser released, Aroba Groove has announced that drama enthusiasts can look forward to a treat from October as the ingenious production tour cities across the country and abroad,” he added.

The stage play boasts a talented cast including Baba Wande, Aisha Lawal, Ozain, Lekan Agba Inaki, Jude Chukwuka, Dele Omo Woli, and more, ensuring an unforgettable experience for the audience.

I Support Youths To Recover Their Stolen Country, Police Can’t Stop Protest – Charly Boy

In a conversation with DAILY POST on Monday, Charly Boy expressed his belief in the capability of Nigerian youths to reclaim their country from poor governance.

Afric Showbiz reports that this announcement comes as Nigerian youths, frustrated by the severe economic conditions, plan to protest nationwide from 1st August to 10th August.

Several socio-political activists have been calling for a revolution, arguing that the government’s policies leading to the current economic crisis need to be reversed. The planned protest has been a hot topic on social media platform X, with users sharing various opinions.

Commenting on the protest, Charly Boy, known for his history of activism, stated that he is currently observing the situation but will join the protest if he sees genuine commitment from the youths.

He said, “I am fully in support of whatever the young people will do to recover their stolen country. I have been a fan of the youths for so many decades. I’m in support of anything they can do to end this quagmire.

“Until that day, I will sit in my house watching. When they finally say enough is enough and they mean it, their father will be in the front. That time I will know that they are now serious. ‘I go know say their mumu don belefu’ them.”

“We are all affected by the same issues. Do you think I’m happy with the current situation? It impacts me as well,” He added,

Charly Boy stated that the police do not have the legal authority to halt peaceful protests, in response to an alleged threat by the police to stop the protest.

He said, “Police can’t stop any protest. The only thing that can stop protest is fear in the young people, that is the only hindrance. It is our civil right to protest. As long as we are doing it in a civil and non-violent way, it is very much allowed.

“One day, them go wake-up in country and them go regret all the stealing and oppressions that they have done.

“The Federal lawmakers that are collecting billions of naira when people are suffering, the young Nigerians know them. They know their address, they know their girlfriends, they know where the lawmakers travel to. When the heat starts, they will know.”

Charly Boy also advised the protesters to be peaceful and aloof them selves from violence.

“As a father, I advise that the protest be peaceful. There are many ways to send powerful messages without resorting to violence.

“We can learn from the peaceful protests in Kenya. I have always believed in the exceptional potential of Nigerian youths. When they decide enough is enough, it will truly be enough,” he concluded.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s S3xting Scandal: Candidate Brags About “Intimate” Photos of Reporter

According to The Daily Beast, the 70-year-old Independent party candidate told his close friends about the pictures the political correspondent sent him, which led to the scandal escalating.

Nuzzi, 31 (pictured below) was reportedly confronted about the images by the magazine’s editor-in-chief, David Haskell, during a one-on-one meeting on September 13.

Haskell explained he learned Kennedy had been discussing the photos and telling people he was in a romantic relationship with Nuzzi.

Nuzzi initially tried to deny the allegations but reportedly confessed to the images, leading to her suspension from her position and the start of an external investigation into the journalist’s ethics.

Last week, New York magazine released a statement about Nuzzi’s suspension, although they didn’t mention the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy by name.

“Recently our Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures,” the outlet wrote via their website.

“Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign,” they continued, adding there were “no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias” in Nuzzi’s past articles.

The magazine explained Nuzzi was on leave and apologised for the “violation” of its readers.

Nuzzi also spoke out about the alleged affair in a statement last week, avoiding RFK Jr.’s name.

“The nature of some communications between myself and a former reporting subject turned personal,” she wrote, adding their relationship wasn’t physical.

Reports say Nuzzi and RFK Jr. exchanged inappropriate texts while he was married to Hines and while the reporter was engaged to journalist Ryan Lizza.

Lizza and Nuzzi have now called off their engagement.

In November 2023, Nuzzi published a profile about Kennedy Jr. after visiting his Brentwood, California estate and going for a hike together in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Their alleged texting affair occurred shortly after “Mr. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece,” a spokesperson for Kennedy Jr. told the Post.

RFK Jr. and his wife Hines, 59, wed in 2014 after his well-known affairs during his previous marriages to Emily Ruth Black and Mary Richardson.

“The police violated my rights” – Speed Darlington on recent arrest.

On October 17, 2024, a viral video surfaced where Speed Darlington described his time in police custody, claiming his rights were violated.

He said, “The police violated my civil rights and my human rights and denied me the opportunity to talk to my family and my lawyer. The rule says I can only be detained for two days yet I was held for four without any opportunity to speak to my people.”

“It seems like I’m not on social media like I used to be but what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. I am stronger now, you feel me? 17 arrests in the USA plus this one making 18 arrests, nothing mega. I have been to the bottomless pit where there is no hope if you don’t know anybody, your own don finish,” Darlington added.

Speed Darlington was arrested for defamation after making a video about Burna Boy. He was accused of making false claims about Burna Boy’s alleged affiliation with Diddy. After being declared missing, he was found in an Abuja holding centre and released.
