Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has publicly criticised her colleague Mercy Aigbe for what she described as an overly extravagant outfit worn to the premiere of a new film.
Mercy Aigbe had sparkled on the red carpet for the premiere of “My Mother Is A Witch,” which is set to be released in cinemas across the country on May 23, 2025.
The event attracted attention on social media, particularly after Aigbe posted photos and videos of her look on Instagram, presenting herself as fully prepared for the event with the caption:

While fans were gushing over her stunning appearance, Toyin Abraham took to the comment section to express her disapproval, cautioning Aigbe for dressing extravagantly at someone else’s film premiere.
“For another person’s premiere, you dress like this. June 1st, you will sleep at the entrance of Imax, bet with me,” Abraham wrote, referencing the upcoming premiere of her own movie Iyalode.
Aigbe swiftly responded, dismissing the comment with a confident promise to truly impress at her own premiere.
“Yinmu! Iyalode premiere is my premiere! It’s my movie and ama slay hard! If you like slack! Ko kan mi,” she replied.
