 The Nigerian House of Representatives is considering a new law that would prevent people over 60 years old from running for President or Governor.

This means politicians like Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and President Bola Tinubu wouldn't be able to run again.


The bill also proposes requiring candidates to have at least a Bachelor's degree.


Besides this, the House is also considering other important bills like:


Upgrading Alvan Ikoku College of Education in Imo State to a federal university.

Creating a new local government area in Imo State.

Making sure young people and people with disabilities have a place in government.

Giving both federal and state governments the power to control trade and commerce.

Making sure there are more women in the National and State Assemblies.
