Ebenezer Obey Speaks Out on Stroke Speculation: [VIDEO]

 Nigerian juju music legend, Ebenezer Obey, has addressed and dismissed recent rumors that he had a stroke and/or died. 

In a video shared on his Instagram account, he appeared with his two sons and sang to assure his fans that he is "alive and well." He described the claims as "lies from the kingdom of darkness."

Obey clarified that he had traveled to London for "personal care" and expressed frustration over the false reports, some of which included fabricated images of coffins. This is not the first time the 83-year-old musician has had to debunk such claims, as similar rumors circulated in 2020 and earlier in 2025.

In the video, he stated, "Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness. I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don't have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself

."
