FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is reportedly in the UK for medical attention after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
According to sources cited by SaharaReporters, doctors recommended bypass surgery, but Wike declined the procedure. He is said to be concerned about being away from his duties for an extended period and the possibility of being replaced during his absence.
This is not the first time there have been rumors about Wike's health. In April of 2025, he dismissed social media claims that he had collapsed at an event and was flown abroad for treatment. At that time, he stated that the rumors were politically motivated and that he was in good health.
