The Kano State Police Command has arrested two men, Mathew Adewole (25) and Mukhtar Muhammad (31), in connection with the armed robbery and attempted murder of Nigerian singer Lil Kesh.
The arrests took place on September 11, with the suspects apprehended in Naibawa Quarters and Unguwa Uku Quarters, Kano. Mathew Adewole confessed to the attack, which occurred on August 19 at Lil Kesh's home in the Bera Estate area of Lagos. During the robbery, the suspects inflicted a deep cut on the singer's neck and forced him to transfer N2,120,000 from his account to Mukhtar Muhammad's account.
The police have successfully recovered the stolen money. Both suspects have been handed over to the Lagos State Police Command to face further investigation and prosecution.
