EVENT: Davido Brings 5IVE Alive World Tour Home to Nigeria!
Davido's Big Nigerian Tour Announcement
After a successful tour in North America with his record-breaking 5IVE Alive World Tour, Nigerian music star Davido is bringing the show back home. He's announced a major Nigerian leg of the tour to celebrate his fifth studio album, 5IVE.
The superstar will perform in five key cities in Nigeria. The tour kicks off in Uyo on 26th October, then moves to Yola (29th October), Enugu (1st November), Ibadan (9th November), and finishes with a huge show in Lagos on Christmas Day (25th December).
Tickets sales start from a reasonable ₦5,000 price, and fans are already rushing to buy them as shows are selling out quickly. The album 5IVE, which has billions of streams and several Grammy nominations, has secured Davido's place as a global icon, but this tour is a lovely return to his roots.
In his announcement, Davido shared:
“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time… I’m bringing it HOME. After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back where it all began. 5IVE TOUR NIGERIA, y’all ready??!! This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for US.”
Fans have generally praised the list of cities, especially the inclusion of those in the North and East of Nigeria, which often get missed out on big tours. However, a few people were disappointed that Port Harcourt wasn't included.
From his earlier album, Timeless, to his current one, 5IVE, Davido is still changing what it means to be a top Afrobeats star. This return home is more than just a series of concerts; it’s a celebration of culture, unity, music, and his lasting career.
