This makes him the richest person in the world. Most of his money comes from his 12% share in Tesla, whose stock value has gone up by over 20% in the past year.
Musk could be the first trillionaire soon. He will get a huge bonus if Tesla reaches big goals, such as selling one million AI robots and 12 million cars, and growing the company's value eight times over.
Investors like that Musk is focusing on his companies (Tesla, SpaceX, xAI) instead of politics. He was recently criticized for helping cut jobs and spending with a group called DOGE under Donald Trump.
