“God will Punish You now and Forever”— Nnamdi Kanu tells Lawyer after Judge sent him out of Court

The Federal High Court in Abuja experienced some heated moments on Thursday after the hearing for IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.

As security staff (DSS operatives) escorted him out, a clearly furious Kanu turned to some of the barristers and declared, "God will punish you now and forever," which caused a stir in the courtroom.

Kanu, who was visibly annoyed throughout the session, also heavily criticised Nigeria's justice system. "Any judgment day in this country is rubbish," he said sharply as the judge left the room.

During the hearing, he openly challenged Justice James Omotosho, questioning the legal basis for the court's decisions and demanding to see the written law that supports the charges against him. "Where is the law?" he asked. "Show me where the written law is."

Court watchers observed that Kanu complained his rights were being disregarded. He also accused certain barristers of working with the government to "hide the truth."

He insisted the court was failing to follow proper procedure (due process) and that anyone supporting injustice would face the music.

As the DSS staff escorted him out, he repeated his warning to the barristers, maintaining they would have to answer to God for what they had done, while his supporters watched in silence from the public seating area (the gallery).
