Seyi Hunter Opens Up About Dating Only Older Men

Nollywood actress, filmmaker, and growing adult-lifestyle businesswoman Seyi Hunter recently spoke to Potpourri. Hunter talked about her private life, how her career has changed, and the ideas behind her next big steps. She did this with her usual mix of humour, honesty, and boldness.

For many people, what she revealed might be a shock. But for Seyi Hunter, it’s just the truth: she has only ever dated older men, with their ages ranging from their late 50s up to their 90s.

“Some young women truly connect with older men emotionally and intellectually,” she explains while reacting to conversations sparked by the Regina Daniels–Ned Nwoko dynamic. “Age doesn’t automatically mean issues. It takes maturity, understanding and shared values to make it work.”

Then she adds, unapologetically: “Personally, I’ve only dated older men. Men in their 50s to 90s… I haven’t met anyone below 58.”

This is an honest admission from her, showing both what she likes personally and her belief that relationships should be based on getting on well together, not on what other people think.

While Hunter's private life gets noticed, her working life is just as busy. Her latest success—releasing her personal project on Prime TV—is something she call "a big deal."

But the actress is not sticking only to the usual Nollywood ways. She is moving further into a world she calls "a bit of adventure." Her growing brand mixes tourism, teaching about intimacy, and unusual entertainment, ranging from planning luxury tours to opening the SinfulFriday Walk-In Center.

She says the center provides advice on sex, offers "rub & tug" services, and holds monthly live practical sessions. All of this is part of her goal to create safe places for adults to express themselves.

The center, she says, offers sexual counseling, “rub & tug” experiences, and monthly live practical sessions — all part of her mission to create safe spaces for adult expression.

“Basically, I’m living soft and keeping things exciting,” she says with a laugh.

On Body Enhancement: A Door-Opener, Not a Career

Hunter talks about having cosmetic surgery or body enhancements with a mix of being practical and careful. She accepts that in Nollywood and the wider entertainment world, how you look often has a big impact on people’s first impressions of you.

“Enhancement can turn heads,” she admits. “And sometimes that’s the first step to getting noticed. But staying relevant? That’s all about presence, talent, and hard work.”

Although she is not against cosmetic procedures, she says it's not something she would do herself.

“If it makes you feel hotter and more confident, go for it. Just remember: a snatched body might open doors, but a powerful performance keeps them open. For me, it’s not worth risking my life.”

Getting Away From Stress

Life in the public eye comes with pressure, and Seyi Hunter has a special way of keeping calm: she travels.

“When the pressure gets too much, I run away,” she says matter-of-factly. Travel, for her, is both therapy and inspiration — a way to shed stress while absorbing new cultures, food, and people.

“Planning escapes for people becomes my own escape too. It’s like therapy… with a passport.”
