Segun Akeredolu, known professionally as Dr Shagz, is a hugely talented artist. He was born on April 22nd to Pastor James and Eunice Akeredolu in the busy Lagos suburb of Mushin. Before dedicating himself fully to music, Dr Shagz had a successful career in banking, working for major institutions like GTBank and Access Bank. However, his true passion led him to bravely switch to music.
Now based in Lagos, Dr Shagz is establishing himself with a unique sound. His music mixes personal stories, strong spiritual beliefs, and the deep influence of his youth, which included singing in his father’s church choir. His journey from humble beginnings is a powerful example of determination.

Outside of music, Dr Shagz is also a successful businessman. He previously worked in the oil and gas industry and is now the CEO of Quanturn Oil & Gas.
