Seun Kuti, the well-known Nigerian musician and youngest son of the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, has commented on Korra Obidi's twerking 'tribute' at his father's grave.
Reports online suggest that during her visit to Nigeria over the weekend, Korra went to Fela's graveside and danced for him in tribute.
Sharing the video on her Instagram page, Korra said, “I gave baba an offering. We visited the grave site of Anikulapo Kuti today, and we all know that one thing Fela loved was a woman with Gyrating hips. So I decided to twerk for baba”.
In response to the dance, Seun Kuti praised Korra’s action, stating it fit well with Fela’s energetic lifestyle and influence on culture.
“You guys know what baba likes but you will never give him what he wants. E go better for you my sister”.
This has caused mixed feelings on social media, with critics saying Korra's dance went too far.
