Grammy Awards: Tyla Edges Out Davido for Best African Music Performance

Tyla has won the Grammy for Best African Music Performance, beating Nigerian star Davido to the top spot.

The South African singer took the trophy for her hit "Push 2 Start." She won against a tough field of nominees, including Burna Boy, Ayra Starr & Wizkid, and Davido’s collaboration with Omah Lay. Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin were also in the running.

Although three Nigerian artists made the final shortlist, Tyla ultimately secured the win in a category designed to celebrate African music on the world stage.
