Miss Universe 2025: Contestants Walk Out After Organiser 'Humiliates' Miss Mexico

Contestants stage walkout at Miss Universe 2025 following 'humiliation' of Miss Mexico.

A number of Miss Universe 2025 contestants have walked out of a pre-pageant event in Thailand.

This happened after Nawat Itsaragrisil, an official from the host country, reportedly humiliated a fellow contestant, Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch.

The incident began when Nawat Itsaragrisil apparently called Fatima Bosch "dumb" because she hadn't posted promotional material on her social media page.

When Bosch protested, Nawat called security and threatened to disqualify anyone who supported her.

In response to this embarrassing situation, Bosch walked out, and the others joined her in a show of solidarity.

Speaking in a viral video outside the venue, Bosch called the Nawat Itsaragrisil’s actions “disrespectful” and “undermining” to women.

“As a country, you have all my respect. I truly love Thailand. I respect all of you. You are amazing people. But what your director did is not respectful. He called me dumb and said to me to shut up and other different things. I think the world needs to see this because we are empowered women. This is a platform for our voice.”
