Nigerian actress and content creator Kiekie (Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori) is stressing the importance of boundaries. Speaking at The Creative Blueprint 2.0, the comic star explained that she maintains a "thick line" between her personal life and her public brand to protect her well-being and professional integrity.
“I have created a very thick line between what is personal to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what is personal to my brand as Kiekie. What are the elements of my brand? Event and TV host, actor, content creator. What is my content? Comic,” she said.
Kiekie explained that she doesn’t feature her husband, Tunji Ilori, in her content because “he is not funny”.
The actress added that she features her daughter Nola on her social media because “she is made for the camera”.
Kiekie explained that she only includes her daughter in content during academic holidays to maintain boundaries. She urged other creators to be more cautious about featuring their families online.
“We overmilk viral moments until it becomes annoying. And that is where oversharing comes in,” she added.
