Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake is ready to reclaim the charts, officially confirming that his highly anticipated fourth studio album, M$NEY, will drop on May 1, 2026.

The announcement came via a cryptic video on Instagram, teasing the album’s cover art with the brief but definitive caption: “M$NEY MAY 1 #MM.”

The reveal has sent shockwaves of excitement through his fanbase. After a prolific run of hit singles and high-profile collaborations, fans have been hungry for a full-length project, and it looks like "Mr. Money" is about to deliver right on time.

This new album comes after a busy and successful period for Asake. He has recently dominated the airwaves with tracks like "Why Love," the Tiakola-assisted "Badman Gangster," and "Worship," a unique collaboration with global electronic producer DJ Snake. He even kicked off 2026 by teaming up with Wizkid for a joint project.

As a leading figure in the Nigerian music scene, Asake is widely considered one of the most influential voices in modern music. His talent has earned him global recognition, including a nomination for Best African Music Performance at last year's Grammy Awards (a category won by Tems).

M$NEY will mark Asake’s fourth studio album in an incredibly short span of time, following his impressive streak of yearly releases:

With the May 1 release date fast approaching, M$NEY is already positioned to be one of the biggest and most discussed Nigerian albums of 2026.
