Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, is set to make his return to the album scene with ‘Oldest Young Man’, his first studio project since 2020, as the award-winning singer builds on a musical career that spans more than two decades.
The Nigerian music icon has announced the release of his first studio album in six years, titled Oldest Young Man.
The upcoming project is scheduled for release on November 27, 2026, marking the singer's comeback to the album scene after an extended break from full-length projects. His last studio album, Warriors, came out in February 2020.
2Baba announced the project on social media with the message: “The legacy continues. OLDEST YOUNG MAN drops 27.11.26. Timeless music, no expiration date.”
The announcement has stirred anticipation among fans eager to hear a fresh collection of songs from the iconic star, whose music has remained a part of Nigeria's popular culture across generations.
Although he has not put out a full-length album since Warriors, 2Baba has stayed active on the music scene. He has continued to release singles and collaborations, including Ifesinachi and Mental, featuring singer Fave, which dropped in September 2026.

In August 2026, he first teased Oldest Young Man with a reflective message that offered a glimpse into the experiences behind the project.
“I’ve lived it. I’ve seen it. I’m still here. My new album, OLDEST YOUNG MAN, soon come,” he wrote.
The announcement also arrives as the singer continues to reconnect with audiences through The Baba Experience, an eight-city tour that kicked off in London in August. He also gave guests an early preview of the forthcoming album at his 51st birthday listening party in Lagos in September.
In October 2025, the singer celebrated 25 years in the music industry with a message of appreciation to those who contributed to his journey, including his former Plantashun Boiz bandmates and other industry figures.
With Oldest Young Man, 2Baba is poised to add another chapter to a career defined by musical evolution, longevity and influence. The album is expected to arrive on November 27, 2026, with its full tracklist and featured artistes yet to be announced.
