For Mimisola Daniel, love isn't about status or playing games. To her, it is all about being real, honest, and open with your feelings.
The Nollywood actress and producer is currently celebrating a big win: her latest project, Tori Ife, has reached over one million views on YouTube. Despite this success, Daniel is focused on more than just fame. In a recent talk with Potpourri, she explained that she doesn't believe love should be a "business deal." Instead, she chooses true connection over money or social standing.
“I’m a lover girl to the core,” she said. “I can go far for love — but only when it’s healthy and respectful. When the connection is real, I give it my all.”
Mimisola Daniel doesn't hide her feelings. She even jokes that she can be a “mumu for love” when the connection is real. To her, being open and vulnerable isn't a weakness; it’s just being honest about how she feels.
She also shared her thoughts on "sugar daddy" culture, choosing independence over financial support. While she respects that everyone makes their own choices, she believes relationships based on respect are worth much more than those based on money.
“I believe in standing on my own,” she explained. “I prefer something real over something that’s just convenient.”
This "keep it real" attitude shows how she has grown in Nollywood. When she first started, she just wanted to “blow” (become famous). Now, her goals have changed. She wants to tell stories that actually mean something to people.
Whether she is acting or producing, Daniel is now focused on stories about real life and real love. In an industry that is often all about "faking it," she is making a name for herself by being her true self—both on and off the screen.
