Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has issued a sharp response to a social media user who dragged her into the growing debate surrounding Uche Montana’s recent YouTube milestones.
The controversy was ignited after Montana’s latest film, Monica 2, reportedly amassed over 4.3 million views within just 24 hours of its release. This rapid surge sparked widespread skepticism online, with some critics questioning the authenticity of the numbers and arguing that the actress had achieved traction far beyond what they expected.
The situation escalated when a commenter compared the feat to Abraham’s recent project, Imisi, which recorded 3 million views in its first week. By highlighting the difference in speed, the user suggested that Montana’s figures might not be organic.
Reacting firmly to the comparison, Abraham distanced herself from the dispute. She urged the critic to leave her name out of the controversy and insisted that Montana should be allowed to celebrate her success without being subjected to such comparisons.
“Please leave me out of this and let her enjoy her moment and time. Won sepe fun yi ni, abi kilode gan,” she wrote, defending her colleague amid the growing online discourse.
