Award-winning actress Osas Ighodaro is embarking on an exciting new chapter after landing the lead role in Imported Bahu, a first-of-its-kind Nolly-Bollywood micro-drama.
Executive Producer Hamisha Daryani Ahuja released the official trailer this week, ahead of the series premiere on 2 July 2026 on Lebara Play, Africa’s first telecom-owned micro-drama platform.
Osas stars alongside Bollywood actor and model Rajniesh Duggall. The series centres on love, family secrets, and the complexities of a cross-cultural relationship, with Osas delivering a standout performance.
Reflecting on the project, Osas credits one particular habit for guiding both her career and her time on set: gratitude.
“If there’s one habit that has shaped my life more than any other, it’s gratitude. It’s how I start my days, how I approach new chapters, and how I’ve chosen to navigate both success and setbacks. So naturally, it found its way onto the set of “Imported Bahu/” she said.
“Watching the response to the trailer over the past few days reminded me why. Because behind every view, every headline, every milestone, and every dream achieved, there are people.”
Ahuja described Imported Bahu as the first vertical micro-drama from her production company, Forever 7 Entertainment. She noted that the series was specifically created for African audiences, distributed via an African telecommunications platform, and tailored to the way people on the continent actually consume content.
