Beyoncé Drops Official Remix Pack for 'Morning Dew (Donk)' ft. Jay-Z
The four-track EP dropped in the small hours of Aug. 5 and features contributions from Jay-Z on two cuts.
Beyoncé continues to surprise her audience. Weeks following the release of “Morning Dew (Donk),” she unexpectedly issued the “Morning Dew (Donk)” Remix Pack—a four-track collection featuring guest appearances from her husband, rap icon Jay-Z, on two versions.
Parkwood Entertainment announced the surprise early Wednesday morning release (Aug. 5) via social media.
Beyoncé initially revealed “Morning Dew (Donk)”—co-written alongside Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, and Darius Dixon—over the Fourth of July weekend, marking an official release that resolved years of unauthorized leaks.
On the Remix Pack, Jay-Z (credited as JAŸ-Z) delivers a new verse: “Top of the top, sloppy as a morning dew/ The watch is vintage, I don’t need nothing new / Coming through Malibu in the old school.” His vocal contributions are also featured on an acoustic arrangement.
The original track secured Beyoncé her first top 10 entry on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in three years, debuting at No. 7 on the July 18 chart. Additionally, “Morning Dew” debuted at No. 3 on the Hot R&B Songs chart and No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her 61st top 40 entry.
Originally recorded around 2013 during the Beyoncé album sessions, a snippet of the track leaked in 2021, followed by a broader online leak two years later that inspired viral TikTok trends.
“Morning Dew” is set to be included on the upcoming 20th-anniversary deluxe edition of her sophomore album, B’Day. Released in September 2006, the project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the year-end Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single “Irreplaceable,” alongside top-charting singles “Beautiful Liar” featuring Shakira (No. 3), “Déjà Vu” featuring Jay-Z (No. 4), and “Ring the Alarm” (No. 11).
