OnlyFans Model Sentenced to Six Years for Fatal Stabbing of Boyfriend
Former OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, 30, has reached a plea agreement in connection with the fatal stabbing of her 27-year-old Nigerian boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, at their luxury Miami apartment.
Under the terms of the resolution, Clenney pleaded guilty to manslaughter with a deadly weapon, resolving the initial charge of second-degree murder and avoiding a trial. She was sentenced to six years in state prison, with credit granted for the time served since her arrest in August 2022. Upon release, she will complete five years of probation and undergo mandatory evaluations and treatment for mental health and substance abuse.
The plea agreement concludes a legal proceeding that began on April 3, 2022, when emergency responders discovered Obumseli fatally injured inside the couple's apartment. An autopsy conducted by the Miami-Dade medical examiner concluded that Obumseli died from a downward-thrusting knife wound that penetrated three inches into his chest, puncturing a major artery.
Throughout the investigation, authorities compiled digital evidence—including video clips and security footage—demonstrating a volatile and violent history between the couple. Defense attorneys argued that Clenney acted in self-defense during a physical altercation with an abusive partner, while prosecutors maintained that the physical evidence supported criminal charges.
The mother of the 27-year-old victim, Ocio Obumseli, said, “Nothing can describe what it feels like for a mother to stand at the grave of her child.
“There are also the things that will never happen for me now that he’s gone. The birthdays, the holidays we will not celebrate with him, the conversations we will never have, the person he would continue to become, those losses continue much longer after today’s court case ends, ” Ms Obumseli said.
However, the Obumseli family strongly disagreed with the allegations that he was combative or abusive, describing him as a compassionate, loving, and friendly individual. The family also emphasized that their pursuit of justice was strictly centered on holding the perpetrator accountable rather than financial compensation.
