Over a Year After Split, 2Baba and Annie Quietly Re-Follow Each Other
Music icon Innocent "2Baba" Idibia and his estranged wife, Annie, have sparked renewed speculation about their relationship status after mutually re-following each other on Instagram.
An online check by fans confirmed that the pair restored their social media connections on Monday, following a prolonged period during which they had unfollowed each other on the platform. The move quickly drew attention across social media, leading observers to speculate about a potential reconciliation.
Neither party has issued an official statement regarding the social media update or the current status of their relationship.
The development follows 2Baba’s January 2025 public statement announcing their separation and intent to file for divorce. Although the initial post was briefly taken down due to claims of a compromised account, the artist later verified the statement's authenticity. He subsequently married Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
The former couple shares a decades-long history, famously highlighted by Annie’s featured appearance in 2Baba’s hit single "African Queen." They married in 2013 with ceremonies in Akwa Ibom State and Dubai, later renewing their wedding vows in 2023 for their 10th anniversary. While their high-profile relationship has faced public scrutiny over the years, their latest digital interaction has once again made their dynamic a topic of public interest.
