Poco Lee Management Responds to UK Legal Proceedings, Dismisses Drink-Spiking Reports

The management of Nigerian dancer and performer Poco Lee has released an official statement addressing the ongoing legal proceedings involving the artist in the United Kingdom.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, 25 August, the management confirmed that the matter is currently before a UK court and called on the public to respect the judicial process. The statement specifically clarified that allegations of drink-spiking do not form part of the charges or claims brought against him.
Furthermore, his management team cautioned the public and media against treating the allegations as established facts, emphasising that Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence and remains entitled to the presumption of innocence.
“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the statement said.
Additionally, the team addressed circulating online reports regarding alleged drink-spiking, clarifying that no such claims form part of the charges currently before the court.
“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” the statement added.
His management said further updates on the case would be communicated through official channels and appealed to the public to exercise patience and restraint while the legal proceedings continue.
Reports of Poco Lee’s arrest in the UK first emerged on 19 August, linking his detention to an alleged sexual assault. At the time, official details—including the identity of the complainant and the specific circumstances—were not released by British law enforcement.
Amid these reports, Texas-based Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji made separate claims against Poco Lee in videos shared online. She alleged that he attempted to sexually assault her and her partner approximately two years ago at his Dallas residence.
However, these claims have not been independently verified by law enforcement or a court of law, and no link has been established between her allegations and the ongoing UK proceedings.
Poco Lee, legally named Iweh Pascal Odinaka, gained widespread prominence after featuring in Zlatan Ibile’s 2018 "Zanku (Legwork)" music video. He has since established himself as a leading figure in Nigerian entertainment, collaborating with high-profile artists including Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide, and Naira Marley.
