Toyin Abraham Returns to the Big-Screen with 'BESTIE' Scheduled for December 16 Release

Nollywood actor and producer Toyin Abraham is returning to cinemas with her latest feature film, titled BESTIE, scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on December 16, 2026.

The upcoming release further solidifies Abraham's position as one of Nollywood’s most successful box-office figures and prominent filmmakers.

Her previous theatrical release, Oversabi Aunty, achieved major commercial success by grossing over ₦1 billion in domestic cinemas, earning formal recognition from the National Film and Video Censors Board.

Earlier this year, Abraham indicated that production was underway for a major December theatrical project. That announcement followed her statement confirming that Alábọ̀sí 2 would serve as her final YouTube project for 2026.

With BESTIE scheduled for release during the holiday season—traditionally one of Nollywood’s most lucrative cinema windows—expectations remain high for another strong commercial performance.

While official details regarding the plot, cast, and trailer remain undisclosed, public anticipation is already building.

Following the conclusion of her 2026 YouTube releases, Abraham noted to fans that "another beautiful chapter is waiting to begin," promising a return with larger-scale productions.

Currently ranking as the second highest-grossing filmmaker in Nigeria behind Funke Akindele, Abraham aims to replicate her previous box-office success with this December release.
