"UK Court Sets New Date for Poco Lee's Case After Setback"

A UK court has postponed the plea and trial preparation hearing of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, to February 2027.
The matter was billed for hearing on Tuesday at Snaresbrook Crown Court but could not proceed as the charge sheet was not available.
According to BBC News Pidgin, Poco Lee was absent from court and therefore did not take a plea.
The report stated, "In court, Poco Lee did not appear because the charge sheet was not available. As a result, he did not enter a plea."
Snaresbrook Crown Court has since scheduled February 8, 2027, for the plea and trial preparation hearing, at which Poco Lee is expected to state whether he pleads guilty or not guilty to the charges brought against him.
"However, the pre-trial hearing will now take place on 8 February 2027, and he is expected to enter his plea at that time."
"The trial has also been scheduled for 8 March 2027," the BBC report stated.
This comes after Poco Lee's earlier court appearance, following which he was granted bail on September 11.
A number of Nigerians reportedly turned out for Tuesday's proceedings in solidarity with the entertainer, with the courtroom said to have filled to capacity while others waited outside.
After his first court appearance, reports emerged that Poco Lee had been granted bail, alongside videos circulating online in which he spoke about his experience in the UK.
Snaresbrook Crown Court later confirmed the bail decision to the BBC, with the report noting that Poco Lee remained on bail.
Poco Lee studied Microbiology at Lagos State University (LASU) and gained widespread recognition around 2018 after videos of his legwork dance performances went viral.
