 Media personality Ifedayo Agoro has responded to critics regarding her openness about her personal life, asserting that she will continue to speak her truth despite public opinion. 

During an appearance on the podcast What I Know with actress Shaffy Bello, Agoro addressed the backlash and clarified exactly how much of her experiences she chooses to share with the public.

“I don’t share 0.1 percent. Because my opinions are strong, people think it’s a lot. But if you go back, what have I shared?” she said.

She clarified that although she is open about personal experiences like heartbreak, she intentionally keeps the identities of those involved private.

“As a woman who goes through heartbreak, I will share that. I would never mention names. I have never mentioned anybody’s name,” Agoro stated. “Even my ex-fiancé—when I said I broke off an engagement—I didn’t mention names. I don’t mention names.”

She stated that the heart of her message is focused on defying the shame and societal expectations often imposed on women.

“The truth of the matter is that what I share is the truth that feels shameful.And because my stance since 2016, since I focused on this platform, is that we will not be suppressed or silenced, we will not be made to feel less than because of our experiences, which means I will not be ashamed to speak my truth.”

“It may not be comfortable for you. That’s not my job,” she added
