Bose Ogulu, the mother and manager of Afrobeat star Burna Boy, has reacted to her son’s recent use of profanity and a controversial oath involving her name.

During a livestream with singer Shallipopi, Burna Boy used heated language while denying claims that his crew jumped DJ Tunez.

Africshowbiz reports that the drama began when Wizkid took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse Burna Boy and a 10-man team of assaulting the DJ at a Lagos nightclub for refusing to play his music. While Burna Boy admitted to hitting the DJ, he swore an intense oath on his mother’s life to deny the "10-man" claim, saying: "If I dey lie, make Ogun carry my mama go anywhere wey Wizkid mama dey."

Following the livestream, a video surfaced showing Burna Boy’s team allegedly kicking the DJ, contradicting his version of events. In response to the spiritual weight of her son’s words, a new video has gone viral showing Bose Ogulu surrounded by crew members in a fervent prayer session, seeking to "cancel" any negative declarations and evil spirits.

Oloun ma je a remi kemi. Oloun ma je a remi kemi”, she prayed in Yoruba.
