Zubby Michael Officially Joins ADC as Nollywood Actor Collects Membership Card

 The trend of Nollywood stars entering the political arena continues to gain momentum as popular actor Azubuike "Zubby" Michael officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The actor registered with the party on Saturday in his hometown of Ozubulu, Anambra State. To confirm his new political path, Zubby Michael shared a video on Instagram capturing the moment the ward chairman handed him his official membership card.

“I dey my village, enough of the talking online, I don involve,” he wrote in the post.

While a voice in the background of the video hinted at a potential run for the House of Representatives, the actor has not yet confirmed whether he intends to contest for any elective position.

His move follows a growing trend of Nollywood figures transitioning into active politics. As the 2027 general elections draw closer, it is anticipated that even more entertainers will announce their political affiliations and ambitions.

Zubby Michael’s entry into the ADC coincides with a nationwide membership surge for the party, which is currently being positioned as a major opposition force ahead of the 2027 polls.
