Adekunle Gold Dismisses False Reports of New Twins with Simi

Adekunle Gold has dismissed widespread rumours that he and his wife, Simi, recently welcomed twins, clarifying that the claims were unfounded and confirming instead that the couple has celebrated the arrival of a baby boy.

The ‘Ire’ crooner spoke candidly during a recent interview with Great Day Houston, where he reflected on the creative synergy of family life with a fellow musician and described the experience of raising their children together as deeply fulfilling.

“First of all, it is interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter. You know we bounce off ideas in the home and our daughter is giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he said.

The conversation subsequently turned to viral online rumours suggesting the couple had welcomed twins, which Adekunle Gold was quick to dismiss.

“…not even twins, that is the internet by the way. We have a son,” he clarified.

This clarification follows months of speculation after the couple announced the birth of their second child in April, having initially opted to keep the baby’s name and gender private.

Adekunle Gold and Simi wed in a private ceremony in January 2019 and welcomed their first daughter, Adejare, in 2020.
