The 30BG movement just leveled up! In a major power move for one of Africa’s biggest fan communities, the Davido Supporters Group International (DSGI) has officially rebranded. Say hello to the Davido International Supporters Group, now sleekly known as DIS G.

The big reveal went down yesterday during an exclusive media sit-down in the heart of New York City. Taking the mic to announce the new era, the group’s convener, Ambassador (Rev.) Chukwudi Chuck Eke, explained that this isn't just a name change—it’s a vibe shift.

According to Amb. Eke, “the new name is more befitting and carries multidimensional elements that align with our vision as a global fan movement.”

The rebrand isn’t just about the name; it’s about the vibe. Eke highlighted that the new DIS G acronym was specifically crafted to be catchy and relatable, serving as a symbolic powerhouse that bridges the gap between deep cultural roots and the group’s massive international appeal.

“In pidgin parlance, ‘DIS G’ can be interpreted as ‘This G’ or ‘This Guy.’ It sparks curiosity, representing both the global community of supporters and Davido himself,” Eke added.

The big reveal went down yesterday during a media session in New York City, where the group’s convener, Ambassador (Rev.) Chukwudi Chuck Eke, explained that the new name represents a more dynamic and globally resonant identity for the fanbase. According to Eke, the rebrand introduces a sleek, relatable acronym—DIS G—that carries deep cultural and symbolic weight.

But the rebrand isn't just a name change; it’s a whole vibe. Eke, who is also a songwriter, revealed that the inspiration behind the new acronym actually sparked a musical project titled ‘DIS G’. He shared that the song’s concept came to him organically, leading him to craft lyrics that celebrate the fan club’s fresh identity.

The project is already moving fast: Eke confirmed the melody is fully produced, and the team is currently on-site filming the official music video!

Furthermore, the project is intended as a tribute to Davido and expected to resonate widely with fans across the globe, Eke said.

“This song, which celebrates Afrobeats icon Davido, is envisioned to become the official anthem of the fan club, with strong global appeal,” Eke added, revealing that the track is performed by his protégé, Master BG, whom he described as a “multi-talented singer, dancer, and actor.”

This music is going global with a sound for everyone! The project is currently being developed in multiple versions, spanning gospel, reggae, and Afrobeats interpretations to ensure a wide-reaching appeal.

Looking to the future, Eke is feeling optimistic, projecting that the music video will be wrapped and ready for release before the end of summer 2026.

Through it all, the Davido International Supporters Group (DIS G) is doubling down on its mission, solidifying its status as a premier global fan community dedicated to championing the music, the brand, and the massive cultural legacy of Davido.
