Kate Henshaw Sets the Record Straight on Her Relationship With Genevieve Nnaji

Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw has lifted the lid on her relationship with fellow star Genevieve Nnaji, explaining why the pair are no longer as close as they once were.

Speaking candidly on the Tea with Tay podcast and during a chat with Chude Jideonwo, Henshaw clarified that there was never any major falling out between them; rather, their friendship simply fizzled out over time.

Henshaw revealed that she and Nnaji used to be incredibly close, frequently hitting the red carpet together during Netflix’s early days in Nigeria, before they eventually lost touch.

Admitting she is a bit in the dark about what triggered the distance, Henshaw suggested that Nnaji might have developed trust issues. She noted that the actress has a habit of withdrawing from people, often leaving friends scratching their heads as to whether they have done something to upset her.

"She takes herself away... and you wonder, 'What did I do?'" Henshaw shared.

Despite the prolonged radio silence, the duo recently crossed paths while filming a Netflix advert in South Africa. Henshaw noted that Nnaji was perfectly lovely and warm during the encounter, making sure to say a proper goodbye before heading off.

Ultimately, Henshaw stressed that there is absolutely no bad blood between them. She completely respects Nnaji’s private lifestyle, even comparing her fiercely independent nature to that of Hollywood star Angelina Jolie.
