Rosy Meurer Resumes Acting Career Following Marital Changes

Rosaline Meurer, popularly known as Rosy, is officially returning to the film industry following a lengthy break. The actress announced the launch of her new production company, Rosy Meurer Studios, via her Instagram page this week. 

She shared that the venture was born out of a period of personal growth away from the public eye. The studio is specifically dedicated to producing meaningful family stories and fresh narratives, with the ultimate goal of setting new quality standards within the filmmaking industry.

Talking about her return to the screen, Meurer said “I took a long break off your screen. Now, I’m back, not the same, but better, stronger, and unstoppable. I promise you will never have to miss me again,” the actress said.

After starting her career as a Gambian model and debuting in the Nigerian film industry with Emem Isong’s "Spellbound" in 2009, Meurer stated that her latest chapter focuses on refining her professional skills, raising production quality, and creating a legacy that extends well beyond her fame as an actress.

The launch of Rosy Meurer’s new studio coincides with increasing public speculation regarding her marriage to Olakunle Churchill. These rumors intensified following a reconciliation between Churchill and Tonto Dikeh, which reportedly impacted the couple's relationship.

In a detailed Instagram post this week, Churchill addressed the situation by stating that no legally recognized marriage ever existed between himself and Meurer. He further characterized the circulating claims as false and urged the public to ignore what he described as misinformation.

The pair, who share two children, reportedly wed in 2021. Their relationship has been a subject of public interest since 2017, when Churchill’s former wife, Tonto Dikeh, first alleged that Meurer played a role in the dissolution of her own marriage.
