Adunni Ade takes legal action against blog for fake news

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has threatened legal action against a popular Nigerian blog, accusing the platform of repeatedly twisting her social media posts to mislead the public.

Taking to Instagram, the actress called out the blog for deliberately editing a TikTok video about her newborn baby with an entirely unrelated comment in order to distort her original message. She claimed that the site has targeted her brand for over a decade simply to profit from her name.

Ade explained that while she has warned the blog on numerous occasions—including last year—she has now decided to hand the matter over to her lawyers.

“I have given you several passes and warnings, even as recent as last year… you will have to prove to the court why you merged two separate posts and comments. Does this even make any sense? But not to worry, I’m coming for you. I play by the book, and you’re about to find out the hard way.”

The mother-of-three, who recently welcomed her daughter, Baby Sal, added that she is fully prepared for a lengthy legal battle to defend her reputation and claim her rights.
