From Bayelsa to the World: Tamunosoye KaribiGeorge Wins Miss World Nigeria!
Tamunosoye Karibi-George has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026, after winning the pageant’s grand finale at the Balmoral Hall in Lagos on Saturday, 6 June.
The 26-year-old beauty queen, who represented Bayelsa State but hails from Port Harcourt, beat 19 other contestants to take the title. This year’s competition was held under the banner Pride, Power and Purpose.
Karibi-George takes over the crown from Joy Mojisola Raimi. She is now set to represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss World Festival, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from 9 August to 5 September 2026.
Away from the glitz and glamour, Karibi-George is the founder of Beyond Labels, an initiative that supports children with special needs and champions social inclusion and equal opportunities.
Rounding off the top five were first runner-up Dionne Chisom Nwagbo (representing Anambra State), second runner-up Shuntell Ezomo (Edo State), Irene Irene (Abuja), and Gold (Rivers State).
