Music superstars Shakira and Burna Boy electrified the crowd at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony with a high-energy performance of the official tournament song, “Dai Dai.”
Right after J Balvin took the stage, Shakira kept the momentum going, immediately pumping up the crowd with the song's opening verse.
The Colombian superstar showed off her signature dance moves before Burna Boy joined her on stage to a deafening roar from the crowd. The pair then danced together, keeping fans cheering throughout the entire performance.
Backed by a troupe of dancers, Shakira delivered a flawless choreographed routine, while Burna Boy matched her energy with his own dance crew. The performance reached an epic finale as both artists met at center stage to lead the stadium in the song’s final chorus, chanting: “Dale, allez, let’s go!”
As the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, “Dai Dai” also supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aimed at expanding access to education worldwide.
Their performance was easily one of the biggest highlights of the opening ceremony, setting the perfect high-energy tone for the month-long tournament ahead.
