Fashion Souk 2026: Wema Bank renews support for female Entrepreneurs as Headline Sponsor
Wema Bank has renewed its commitment to supporting small businesses and female entrepreneurs by returning as the headline sponsor for Fashion Souk 2026, one of Nigeria’s leading fashion and lifestyle exhibitions.
According to the bank, the event continues to be a vital platform for entrepreneurs, creatives, and business owners to showcase their products, connect with customers, build professional networks, and boost business growth.
The bank highlighted that its ongoing partnership with the Fashion Souk delivers tangible economic benefits, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and women-led businesses.
Data from the 2025 exhibitions reveals the scale of this impact:
Over ₦1.5 billion in SME revenue was facilitated by Wema Bank across the June and December events in Lagos.
315 businesses participated in total across both editions.
Over 90 per cent of the exhibitors were female-led enterprises.
The bank noted that these figures reflect its ongoing efforts to champion women’s economic empowerment and strengthen the SME sector, which remains a vital driver of Nigeria’s economy.
Following the success of previous years, Wema Bank announced that the 2026 programme will include two editions of the Fashion Souk.
This will give participating businesses even more opportunities to break into new markets, boost brand visibility, attract customers, and scale their operations.
The lender added that the initiative aligns with its broader commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, economic inclusion, and sustainable growth, particularly for women-owned enterprises and emerging brands.
Over the years, the Fashion Souk has become a premier platform for connecting businesses with consumers, while encouraging innovation and collaboration across Nigeria’s fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and creative industries.
Through this continued sponsorship, Wema Bank aims to deepen its support for entrepreneurs and further contribute to the growth of the country’s vibrant SME sector.
