Fast-rising Nollywood actress Olaide Bisola Omobolanle, widely recognized as Nicebody4real, recently shared one of the most significant challenges she has encountered since entering the Nigerian film industry. The actress revealed that she once spent over a month on a film set without receiving any financial compensation for her role.

The Ogun State native, who launched her professional acting career in June 2024, disclosed that she was also required to self-fund her accommodation, meals, transportation, and wardrobe throughout the production.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Omobolanle noted that she endured difficult conditions on location for over a month, receiving no financial or logistical support from the production team.

“I stayed on location for over a month. My accommodation wasn’t paid for, there was no food allowance, no fuel support and I wasn’t even paid for the role I acted. I also had to buy extra clothes because I never imagined I would stay that long,” she said.

Despite the setback, Omobolanle emphasized that her profound passion for the craft kept her motivated and prevented her from becoming discouraged.

“I didn’t complain because I have so much passion for acting. I love what I do, and that passion helped me overcome the challenges,” she added.

Since her Nollywood debut, Omobolanle has appeared in several notable Yoruba language films, including Bi Ife Oto, Omo Yankee, Vinto International, and Abiamo, steadily establishing herself as one of the industry’s most promising talents.

Although relatively new to the scene, the actress emphasized her continued commitment to honing her craft and navigating the typical challenges faced by emerging actors in a highly competitive market.

Her experience underscores the significant sacrifices often required of aspiring talent. Industry observers have noted that her resilience and determination are key attributes that could ultimately propel her to long-term success in Nollywood.
