Actress and producer Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Donates full film earnings to charity

In a significant act of philanthropy, prominent Nollywood actress and film producer Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has donated the entire production revenue from her latest project, Mother’s Love, to the non-profit organization Slum2School Africa.

The initiative was formally announced through a public video statement, in which Jalade-Ekeinde provided full transparency regarding the film’s finances. While the production garnered over N103 million in total box office revenue, the net amount retained by the production team totaled N22,276,558 following standard industry deductions—including exhibitor fees, distribution expenses, print and advertising costs, and applicable statutory taxes.

Facilitated directly by the film's distributor, The Nile Entertainment, the net sum of N22,276,558 was remitted to Slum2School Africa on July 7, 2026. This disbursement fulfills a prior commitment made by Jalade-Ekeinde’s production entity, Red Hot Concepts, to direct all net profits from the film toward supporting educational initiatives for underprivileged children.

“On the 7th of July 2026, our amazing distributors, Nile Entertainment, transferred that sum of money to our NGO beneficiary, Slum to School Africa”, she said.

“The team and I are very, very thankful. Thankful to you for going to watch Mother’s Love because you made it possible.

“We at Red Hot Concepts will now be following up with Slum to School Africa to make sure that this money is used very, very judiciously for the children that we have sent it to be used for.

“As you remember, we want this money to advance the education of children from underserved communities. And we will now follow up to make sure that this money is used properly”.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is an acclaimed Nigerian actress, filmmaker, former model, and philanthropist whose iconic career spans over three decades. Since making her film debut in 1995, she has appeared in more than 300 movies, establishing herself as one of African cinema's most recognizable and influential figures.

Beyond her screen career, Jalade-Ekeinde has achieved major cultural and international milestones. She became the first Nigerian celebrity to gather over 1 million likes on Facebook, building a massive following that expanded to millions more.
