Davido Reveals Aliko Dangote Drove His Mother Home After His Birth

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has detailed billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote’s decades-long connection to his family during a recent interview in Lagos.
The artist highlighted Dangote’s close relationship with his household, noting that the billionaire has offered him financial guidance since childhood.
“Aliko Dangote drove my mom home from the hospital when she gave birth to me,” he said.
Davido shared that Dangote consistently advises him on financial prudence whenever they meet.
“Anytime I see him, he still tells me, ‘David, save your money.’ He’s been saying that since I was a baby,” he said.
The “Fall” crooner noted that Dangote’s guidance has remained valuable throughout his career in the entertainment industry.
He further observed that despite their immense wealth, billionaires lead relatively ordinary lives, often differing from public perception.
Davido added that Dangote is a longtime associate of his father, businessman Adedeji Adeleke, emphasizing that the bond between both families has endured for decades and continues into his adulthood.
