Drama as Seun Kuti, VeryDarkMan unfollow each other

 Tension is brewing in the Nigerian social media space as influencer VeryDarkMan and singer Seun Kuti have officially unfollowed each other on Instagram. 

This move, which happened while VeryDarkMan is dealing with a legal battle against businessman Blord, has fueled rumors that the two are currently at odds. 

Although the exact reason for the fallout is still a mystery, Seun Kuti seemingly confirmed the rift on Wednesday by posting an Instagram story mocking VeryDarkMan’s fanbase, the "Ratels."

The singer wrote “You are rats, not ratels. Why una dey disguise?”

This fallout is particularly surprising because VeryDarkMan has long been a close associate of Seun Kuti. Just a few weeks ago, he publicly defended Seun during a heated feud with Wizkid, which centered on alleged disrespect toward the legacy of Seun’s father, the legendary Fela Kuti. To further prove his loyalty, VeryDarkMan even visited Fela’s grave recently to perform a traditional ritual involving a ram.
