Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has shared his plans to go back to university. The singer announced that he is set to start a Master’s degree in Political Science at a UK university next year.

During a recent livestream, the award-winning artist cleared up some rumours, confirming that he won't be studying at Adeleke University as some had previously thought.

“I want to do my Master’s next year,” he said.

When asked if the programme would be at Adeleke University, Davido responded, “No, in UK, a one-year course in Political science. I have my BSc already.”

The singer, who already has a degree, mentioned that the course will last for one year, which is standard for most UK postgraduate degrees.

Davido’s decision to head back to school has caused quite a stir among fans. Many have praised the move, seeing it as a great way for him to grow personally outside of his music career.
