British singer-songwriter Jessica Cornish, better known as Jessie J, has been given the all-clear nearly a year after being diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
The 38-year-old pop star first shared news of her illness with the public in June 2025, subsequently taking a break from the music industry and live performances to undergo surgery.
Updating fans on her health via Instagram, the singer posted a video of herself waiting for an MRI scan during a routine hospital appointment. In an emotional caption, she expressed her immense relief, revealing she had cried for hours after doctors delivered the news that she was completely free of the disease.
“Results are in, and I am cancer-free! I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year,” she wrote.
The pop star has always been open about her health battles. She was diagnosed with a heart condition as a child, suffered a stroke when she was a teenager, and experienced temporary hearing loss in 2020 due to Meniere’s disease. In 2024, she also revealed that she has ADHD and OCD.
