Davido Announces New Album ORIADÉ to Celebrate 15 Years in Music

Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke Popularly known as Davido is ready to give his fans the ultimate soundtrack for the summer.
Billboard has officially revealed that the famous singer will release his sixth studio album on July 31. The album is called ORIADÉ, which combines two Yoruba words: ori (meaning destiny) and adé (meaning crown). The new music comes at a perfect time, as Davido is celebrating 15 years since he first started making music. Looking back on his career, the singer said, "I just knew music was my destiny."
What to Expect From the New Music
The first song from the album, “I Know Who I Be,” came out on Friday, June 26. This new album is the follow-up to his highly successful 2025 album, 5ive. That previous album was a massive hit, reaching Number 2 on the world charts and featuring major global stars like Chris Brown, Becky G, and Omah Lay.
While his last album was full of big party hits, Davido says ORIADÉ will be more personal. He wants to use this music to show how grateful he is for his life and his journey to becoming a star.
A Huge Year for Davido
The new album adds to what has already been an amazing year for the singer. Here is what he has done so far in 2026:
Coachella Festival: In April, he performed for the very first time at the famous Coachella music festival in California.
World Cup Song: He teamed up with Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado for a new song called “No Place Like Home,” which is part of the official FIFA World Cup 2026 soundtrack.
Helping His Country: When he performed the new World Cup song at a concert in Los Angeles on June 10, he wore a special jacket to bring attention to the students and teachers who were kidnapped in Oyo State, Nigeria.
